Speed control of electrical submersible pumps using fuzzy logic control

<p>Electrical submersible pumps (ESPs) are multistage centrifugal driven by specially designed three-phase induction motors. They used in many applications such as nuclear and petroleum industries. In the presented paper, we study speed control of an ESP pump using a rule-based fuzzy logic controller (FLC). As case study, oil well is considered to analyze effects changing on both motor parameters. The proposed model provides ability optimize wells production power consumption, soft starting This done variable drive (VSD), which changes frequency voltage supplied motor. utilized VSD consists two-level source inverter (VSI), space vector pulse width modulator (SVPWM) controller. Also, this dynamic hydraulic implemented. mathematical developed. obtained simulation results show that combination FLC Controller SVPWM faster more effective method controlling electrical than conventional PID controllers. MATLAB/ SIMULINK software achieve simulative validation complete system.</p>
